Okay, scratch that.... everyone ELSE gets to go to Noosa, I'm stuck in Brisbane doing press stuff and working. Oh well, it's a gorgeous day here, and I get to meet with City News, the Courier-Mail, and do a radio interview on ZZZ. More about that later.

Yesterday turned out to be a wonderful evening. The Cathedral Band concert with Tenzin was my favorite yet, his voice is just so moving I got teary a few times and was shaking by the end of the performance. It was broadcast on ABC Radio National, as part of The Listening Room, Andrew McLennan's monday night new music show. I like his voice.

We also had several people playing pitchweb along with us from other parts of the world, and it was a thrill to be performing and look at Bill, look at Warren, and realize that perfect sound from the sound bank wasn't coming from any of us, but from the Web.

At the end of the performance we heard a funny sound with the clapping... I realized that the people were stomping too... and then they stood up. Huh - that's how I felt too. :) Very magical to be in that room and I think that Tenzin is a very special performer.

I think too that a missing element had been the visuals... Renko's artwork linked us tighter and added an extra element that I think is integral to the weird alchemy of our Catheral Band performances.

Before the concert we snuck off to AIX Bistro for a quick snack... I had the most wonderful ginger tea (real ginger, which I needed as I'm fighting off a little cold) and a beautiful entree: fried baby artichokes, delicate potatoes, on a bed of rocket salad and covered with feta and aioli. Mmmmmmmmmm just thinking about it now makes me want another!! I plan to go back... it's right on the way between my hotel and the Powerhouse.

Oh and after the performance we were lucky enough to stumble onto an impromptu performance piece by Juannellii in the gravel/"snow" our front of the venue. It was lovely, and the camera battery lasted jsut long enough for a couple of pictures. Then we all went out to chinese food and kept the restaurant open too late!
