I love the birds here. So far, having not had the time to really explore yet, the plants, and alien bird calls are the only real differences that are standing out to me. Oh, there's the accents and the whole driving on the other side of the road thing, but that's not so different from places I've been and felt at home, like London.

The Powerhouse is on the edge of New Farm Park, which is full of lovely trees and incredible life (I saw a lizard, a bunch of kids, Ibis, and so many different birds just on my first walk through). The call of the Butcher Bird (I think that's what it is) is my favorite though. It's this wonderful strong call, very pretty.

Tonight we have our second Cathedral Band concert, this time with special guest Tenzin Coegyal, which I have been very much looking forward to. He's a Tibetan musician, and the theme is the Pyramid. They'll be showing slides and visuals by Renko Ishida Dempster, who among other wonderful things is Stuart's wife. Should be a lovely night, and now it's time for a sound check, so off I'm rushed again.

Tomorrow should be lovely - it's a day off, and we'll be going to Noosa!
